ART GUILDELINES FOR SUBMISSION

  1. All artists must submit their work for a particular project and agree to have their work available for sale to support the project criteria.  Please note that by submitting your art you will be agreeing to these terms.

  2. ia seeks art submissions that explore one or several elements that are sympathetic to the aims of ia.  The tone and format is open to interpretation and we encourage artists to create new work.  All submissions must be original.

  3. All submissions must represent the actual artwork as closely as possible.  If your work is misrepresented in anyway, we reserve the right to refuse the  presentation of and the selling of your work.

  4. ia is open for submissions of all two-dimensional art that is able to be hung on a wall, including paintings, photography, drawings, digital, mixed media, fabric art, ink, pastels, wax, graphite and printmaking.  We accept free-standing sculptures, poetry, video submissions and music.  However for shipping and handling insurances we recommend art to be valued up to $1500.  Art valued more than $1500 will by special arrangement.  Please refer to our terms and conditions.

  5. Submissions must be made online via our submission form. Your upload must be accompanied by high quality whole, or fully completed representation of your work.

  6. Submission images are for the directors of ia to decide on which artworks will be accepted.  We do not accept original artwork submissions through a postal service.

  7. Submission images can be of any width or height but should have an aspect ration of 1080DPI.  Save the images in JPEG format limiting file size to 3MB and using the naming specified.

  8. Your files must be labeled: First name Last name_Title of the piece_Medium_Height x Width_year-Project no.ia.jpg making sure that underscores go between your name and the name of the artwork; ie. James.Whitington_Human-Nature_Acrylic on canvas_1.65x1.65m_2017-Project1.ia.JPG

  9. While there is no limit of how many artworks can be submitted, there is a limit of two artworks that can be selected for each project.  Your submissions do not guarantee inclusion into a project campaign.  The decision to accept entries into a project is based solely on the directors of ia.  Artworks not sold within a project campaign may be transferred to another project at the discretion of both the artist and ia.

  10. Accepted entries if sold through ia, the artist will receive 60%, the project campaign conducting protection will receive 25% and ia will receive 15% for the running of ia. Please note that project catalogues featured on the ia website are our definition of our online exhibitions and may also be printed at the discretion of ia.

  11. Artist maintains copyright. For more information please refer to our copyright disclaimer and ia terms and conditions.

  12. All entrants grant ia the right to use or publish images of their work to promote the project campaign and the selling of the artwork, art exhibitions, future call for entries, or videos.  All accepted entries will be placed on this website or other social media or sub domains.

  13. Artists agree to commit the work to IA for a period of one year (12 months) from the date of selection, and not place the item for sale elsewhere during that time.

  14. All entries must be the original work of the entrant and must not infringe the rights of any other party.  The entrants must be the sole owner of copyright in all photographs entered and must have obtained written permission of any people featured in the entries or their parents/guardians if children under 18 are featured.  Artist is fully responsible to obtain all model or property releases.
