FAMILY OF SOMETHING refers to the flora and fauna—the plants and animals that share your home or your everyday environment.

Artists are invited to express their own interpretation of the beauty found in their community. Together, we share perspectives on the wonders of our common habitat.

By submitting your artwork, you will be helping improve the lives of companion animals by supporting Maggie’s Rescue, a small and dedicated animal welfare charity in Sydney’s Inner West.

Their vision: A world where no animal is in need of rescue.

Their values: compassion, integrity, collaboration, and empowerment.

Every artwork will be priced at $50, regardless of medium or experience level. All proceeds go directly to Maggie’s Rescue.  (More information: maggiesrescue.org)

All submitted works will be displayed at the Darlington Install Project (DIP) Window Gallery, Golden Grove Street, Darlington, creating a welcoming platform for artists of all experience levels.
 

We invite artwork across media: painting, drawing, photography, prints, textiles, and small sculptural works.

All submitted artworks must meet two simple criteria:

 

1. Artwork Size

   • Must not exceed A5 gift card dimensions: 14.8 cm x 21 cm (5.8" x 8.3").

   • Portrait or landscape accepted.

   • Art may be presented on the two halves of an A5 gift card.

   • Double-sided art is allowed — however, only one side will be displayed.

2. Display Requirements

   • Art must be suitable for magnet hanging and/or wall hanging.

   • No framing.

​Multiple submissions are accepted and all entries are free, but exhibited artworks are subject to the amount of art received and at the discretion of the organisers.
